We constantly strive to improve patient care. Here are the results from the national survey of patients’ hospital experiences for fiscal year 2015:
Surveys are sent to 25% of Spooner Health System ER patients at random.
We strongly believe in developing strong partnerships with our employees and providing all staff a positive and inspiring place to work. In fiscal year 2015, Spooner Health achieved a fourth year of ranking above the 90th percentile for employee partnership.
Here are a couple things our employees have said about us:
“Spooner Health is a friendly but professional atmosphere where the staff care about their work and provides the best care possible. Even though there are many departments within the organization, everyone works together as a team.”
“I feel we have created a great culture of patient-centered care. We are always looking for ways to improve patient outcomes, and we have a great staff that works very well together.”
Key quality measures help demonstrate our commitment to excellence in patient safety and clinical care.
In an effort to improve patient safety, we have implemented strategies to reduce the number of patient falls on our medical/surgical floor. See the impact our efforts have made:
Research and reporting initiatives around the country show that 15- 25 percent of people who are discharged from the hospital will be readmitted within 30 days or less. However, many of those readmissions are preventable. We have implemented initiatives with our discharge planning and transition-back-to-home care to help reduce the number of readmissions.
Spooner Health has had solid financial performance over the last few years. Due to this strong financial foundation, we’ve been able to develop a plan for future growth. We’ve expanded the number of providers and services we offer, and in 2014, we broke ground on a new, modern replacement hospital.
